Welcome First Years Families! and Book Recommendation for Different Ages

First, I'd like to say Welcome to the First Year's Families who will be stopping by my blog after receiving my little treat with the tag! Thanks for visiting! Feel free to leave a comment, comments are always appreciated :)

Thank you to all the families, staff and other vendors at the Christmas Shopping Extravaganza today! It was so nice to talk with many of you about speech and language development as well as activities that families can do to help develop language skills.

Our table at the Event!
For those who missed it, I announced our plan to do 25 Books of Christmas with my family and post about our experiences along with activities and thoughts about our Christmas books.

We also passed out bookmarks with some great book recommendations that would be perfect for children of different ages as well as families, couples and parents.  Here are some of our personal favorites - books that we've enjoyed with our family at home and as parents:

Ages 0-1 - Touch and Feel Baby Animals (DK Publishing)
Ages 1-2 - Snuggle Puppy (Sandra Boynton)
Ages 2-3 - From Head to Toe (Eric Carle)
Ages 3-4 - If you Give a Mouse a Cookie (Laura Nuemeroff)
Ages 4-5 - Green Eggs and Ham (Dr. Seuss)
Ages 5-6 - Click, Clack, Moo (Doreen Cronin)

For Couples - Night Light (Dr James & Shirley Dobson)

For Parent - Raising Great Kids (Dr.s Cloud & Townsend)

For Families - Boundaries (Dr.s Cloud & Townsend)

For Everyone - The 5 Love Languages (Gary Chapman)

Do you have a favorite book that you like to give away every chance you get? Share it with us!
